Attachments and Connection Parent Night with Dr. Skinner

Families are invited to participate in a special parent night event on April 18th. It will be hosted by The Speedy Foundation, The Children's Home Society, and the Boise School District. The event aims to raise awareness about the importance of attachment connections in preventing suicide. The keynote speaker, Dr. Skinner, is a highly respected marriage and family therapist, who will be presenting on the topic.

The event will begin with doors opening at 5:30 p.m., providing ample time for community members to visit various booths and learn about local nonprofits. This will be a great opportunity to connect with other parents and community members who share the same concerns about mental health and suicide prevention.

At 6:00 p.m., the keynote speech will begin and will last for an estimated 90 minutes, concluding around 7:30 p.m. During the presentation, parents will learn about the importance of attachment connections and how to recognize warning signs of suicidal behavior in children and teens.

Free childcare will be provided.
