2023 Treefort Music Festival

This past weekend, we had an amazing opportunity to host an outreach table at Treefort Music Festival alongside the Idaho Crisis and Suicide Hotline. By offering resources and hosting an interactive activity, we were able to continue the conversation with community members about mental health and suicide prevention. Throughout the weekend we were able to advocate, educate, and engage in conversations intended to end the stigma around suicide and mental health.

At our outreach table, we conversed with parents, youth, teachers, and friends from all walks of life and provided them with:

  • Information about the new suicide and crisis lifeline number, 988
  • Resources about suicide prevention and support after loss
  • Mental and emotional health support and resources in the Treasure Valley
  • Gun locks
  • 988 pins, bookmarks, bracelets, and other collectible advocacy items

With our interactive activity, we had over 300 individuals share with us, through words and pictures, what they do for self-care and who they can talk to about these challenging topics. These colorful, encouraging messages and illustrations were spread along a clothesline for all who passed by to see and feel inspired.

We want to give a special thanks to the Idaho Crisis and Suicide Hotline, volunteers, and board members for teaming up with us to create a welcoming and educational environment for all. Most of all, we want to thank Treefort for giving us the opportunity to keep Idaho #MentallyCovered!
