YMHFA - Truckee 2024

Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 6-18. 

WHAT IT COVERS

  • Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges in this age group, including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges
  • How to interact with a child or adolescent in crisis
  • How to connect youth with help
  • Expanded content on trauma, substance use, self-care, and the impact of social media and bullying

TRAINING DATES

3/15 and 3/22 from 1:00 - 4:30 @ Lift Truckee

Location: Lift Workspace - 10266 Truckee Airport Road #Suite C Truckee, CA 96161

Format: 7-hour in-person, interactive workshop in two 4-hour sessions
